Coronavirus (COVID-19) latest insights 3 March 2022

According to the latest data,

  • an estimated 1.5 million people (or 2.4%) living in private households said they were living with long COVID, as of the end of January 2022.

Of those who said they had long COVID,

  • 685,000 people (or 45%) were experiencing symptoms at least a year after the initial infection.

Almost two-thirds (65%) of those with self-reported long COVID said that

  • it affected their day-to-day activities, equivalent to 989,000 people.

  • Of those, 281,000 said that they were “limited a lot”.
