ONS have published the latest data on weekly deaths and analysis on changing attitudes towards vaccination.

A follow-up survey of adults in England who previously reported being hesitant about the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine has shown over 4 in 10 (44%) have now been vaccinated.

According to theĀ Opinions and Lifestyle Survey, overall vaccine-hesitancy declined from 10% to 3% of all adults between 13 January and 8 August 2021.

The follow-up survey showed vaccine uptake among previously more vaccine-hesitant groups, such as younger adults, and some ethnic groups.

Weekly deaths data shows a rise in coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Of all deaths registered in the UK in the week ending 29 October, 1,042 involved coronavirus (COVID-19), 67 more than the previous week (a 6.9% increase). Deaths involving COVID-19 accounted for around 1 in 12 deaths (8.2%).
