Health Profile for England

The second edition of the Health Profile for England (HPfE) was formally launched at the PHE conference on 11 September. As well as updating the data included in last year’s report, the profile includes forecasts of mortality, life expectancy and risk factors to 2023. It includes a separate chapter on the health of children in the early years, and there is a greater emphasis on mental health and health inequalities throughout the report. The main findings were presented at the conference, and there was also an opportunity to explore how the report can be used to inform action at a more local level in a parallel session.
