What is perinatal mental health?

Perinatal describes the time for a mother, partner and baby from conception to the first year of a baby’s life.  There are different Perinatal Mental Health concerns that can occur.

These include perinatal anxiety, perinatal depression, intrusives thoughts, perinatal obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and birth trauma or puerperal psychosis.
