Wirral children’s services improve ‘in all areas’

BBC are reporting that a recent Ofsted inspection has found that children’s services at Wirral Council have improved “in all areas,” after they were rated inadequate due to “widespread and serious failures” were identified in September 2016.

The department has now been rated “requires improvement,” with the report saying the council “now acts as a strong corporate parent” with a new leadership team who displayed “an accurate understanding of the deficits, as well as effective implementation of plans that have resulted in significant improvement.”
