Dementia: assessment, management and support for people living with dementia and their carers | Guidance and guidelines from NICE (June 2018)
This NICE guideline covers diagnosing and managing dementia (including Alzheimer’s disease). It aims to improve care by making recommendations on training staff and helping carers to support people living with dementia. NICE has also produced a guideline on mid-life approaches to delay or prevent the onset of dementia.
Wirral End of Life Care Charter - Online Resource launch (May 2016)
The launch of the new Online Resource, created to support the Wirral End of Life Care Charter, will take place on 11th May during Dying Matters week. This Resource has been created to help everyone seeking help and guidance concerning end of life care on Wirral, whether they are members of the public or professionals. Opinions are being sought on an ongoing basis, to help the Resource evolve and develop. Care of dying adults in the last days of life (NG31 December 2015)
This NICE guidance covers the clinical care of adults (18 years and over) who are dying during the last 2 to 3 days of life. It aims to improve end of life care for people in their last days of life by communicating respectfully and involving them, and the people important to them, in decisions and by maintaining their comfort and dignity. National Voices have published their fourth Narrative for Coordinated Care. The narrative sets out how good, coordinated – or integrated – care looks to people near the end of life and is written from their point of view.

Marie Curie End of Life Care Atlas
The Marie Curie End of Life Care Atlas is a web-based mapping tool which brings together a broad range of data on end of life care across the UK’s health landscape. The tool allows users to compare end of life care across areas as well as compare areas against national benchmarks across a range of key indicators.
