Wirral Health & Care Commissioning Plan

A partnership between Wirral Council and NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group

The integrated organisation was formed in April 2018 and is a commissioning partnership between NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group and Wirral Council (Social Care and Public Health).

They commission the majority of health and care services in Wirral and our integrated approach means that we can work to provide more seamless and effective services to people.

The aim is to commission health and care services that are of a high standard, safe and equitable. The collaborative approach and work seeks to enable all people in Wirral to live longer and healthier lives by supporting them to lead healthy lifestyles and enabling people and communities to become active partners in their health and wellbeing.

As an integrated commissioner of health and care they also work towards achieving a sustainable system by improving the efficiency of services and developing our workforce across Wirral to provide the best possible care to people.

A key element of any commissioning organisation is the data that informs their decision-making that in turn informs the Commissioning Plan .... Wirral Intelligence Service, this website and our collaborative working contribute to these aims, intentions, plans and outcomes.
