Wirral Compendium of Statistics

Please note, the 2021 edition of the Compendium of Statistics will be the final version produced. Please see our dedicated State of the Borough page for up-to-date statistics of the Wirral.

Our 2021 Compendium is now published

Produced annually by the Wirral Intelligence Service, the compendium of statistics is a quick reference guide to the borough’s statistics covering a range of areas. The fourteenth and final Compendium of Statistics provides the most commonly requested information and data about Wirral’s population, children and young people, health and wellbeing, mortality, economy and business, transport, housing and the environment, and crime and safety of residents. This year, the compendium is available online exclusively and can be viewed via this site. The 2021 compendium also includes more information than all previous versions, with new data on issues such as climate change, obesity, and NHS Health Check uptakes. The online version of the Compendium of Statistics is more interactive too, allowing for easier navigation around the document. Users can now just click on tables in the contents page – and will be taken straight to the data. Please also see the JSNA section of this site for more in-depth information and statistics on a variety of other health and wellbeing issues in Wirral and the Public Health Annual Reports stretching back a number of years.
